So problem is, when i fall asleep and the last file is finished already. It won't auto-start to the next torrent file it should suppose to do. I don't see anyone got this problem in Utorrent so it must be weird for me? That's why I said to run the Speed Guide. You're not supposed to have that many max active torrents, and that's the biggest factor in affecting the queue.
Ultima: I dont have many active torrents. I only have one "1" active torrent at a time. I don't think this will affect my queue? Moreover, I don't want to start all my torrent files at the same time.
What I was asking is if there is an "auto start" to the next torrent file feature in Utorrent if that last torrent file i was dowloading was finished already? That way it would take less time to easily see if it will auto start one of the inactive torrent files i have after the last one is finished already. So you basically want to download all your torrents in a row without seeding at all which on some trackers would be considered hit and run, risky!
It's only a testing so why would u need to wait for so long. Pls post something that may help this topic and not make a subtopic out of it. And for the record i got it already. Thank you ultima and those who tried to help me.
Thank you. I have the same problem. When I start to download a torrent, everything works fine. At the same time the memory usage of the process is growing up above MB and the OS windows 7 64 bit is not responding. The led controller of the HDD is continually active - not blinking.
When I quit the program, it seems to be closed, but it is still in the list of processes in task manager - the memory usage is unchanged. Killing the process has no effect. Restaring the system is not possible, too. The shutdown process locks on the "Shutting down" screen, the hdd-led is still active.
Just registered to say that I'm having exactly the same problem. With larger torrents. Windows 7 bit here also. I Lose speed, then it will not respond when I close, sometimes. Most of the time it just closes but then wont reopen, as it is still active in process hogging memory, close process then restart, it works fine then slows then locks and rinse and repeat. The micro torrent client is lightweight and can be installed very easily. It has a variety of features including smart episode downloading which is useful if you want to grab new TV episodes as they air.
If you only use public trackers and have a crappy upload then you may be interested in having utorrent automatically stop seeding when complete. If you are on private trackers do not use this technique as it will count as a hit n run and you will probably get in trouble.
Froyo Jun 23, It stops the downloading after the screen goes off. Ice Cream Sandwich Jun 23, Gingerbread Jun 23, There is an option to keep higher cpu frequency while screen is off. That helps. The app is stopped by the cpu governor, which is supposed to be conservative for sake of battery, so frequency is lowered, cores are turned off.
If you're rooted, change cpu governor. If not, ask app's developer ta add feature keep higher frequency while screen off or change the app itself.
