You need to start with the Notebook system utility and the chipset drivers and install them in order. You can start with what you have already on the system. In doing the clean install, my hard drive shows a total of 3 partitions. It has a few files and folders in it that look to be Dell Diagnostics. How can I get this to work again after a clean install?? Should the partition be hidden?
I think the one boots the machine, one is the recovery partition and C: is your hard drive with the system and your files. Just want to follow up and provide an update, as it has been a while. I formatted the hard drive and started fresh, including installing the drivers in perfect order per the above link. Seems like a compatibility issue here I wonder how Dell got it to work to begin with.
